The jokes are smart, the characters are fleshed-out, plus -- a bonus -- Scarlett Johansson fans get to see her in a bit part as Alex's older sister. After this, Peter says that he will go in the front of the house and then tells Unger to go to the north side and Alice to go to the south side. Gosh, this is real bad, only watched it because of Lenny Von Dohlen. The choice of songs were bad, acting was bad, plot was bad, script was bad, camera work was bad, trap design was bad, actors looked bad.

To my astonishment, I liked the third “Home Alone” movie better than the first two; I'm even going so far as to recommend it, although not to grownups unless they are having a very silly day. This movie follows the exact formula of the first two, but is funnier and gentler, has a real charmer for a hero, and provides splendid wish fulfillment and escapism for kids in, say, the lower grades. Macaulay's on- and off-screen younger brother appeared in a handful of films following Home Alone and its sequel — once again portraying an annoying younger brother in 1999's She's All That. Alex was home sick with chicken pox, while Kevin was accidentally separated while his family went on trips. Alex was also left at home for a few hours because his mother needed to go to work. Despite this, he was still being supervised by Mrs. Hess, so he was never truly "home alone", whereas Kevin really was home alone.
When she tries to open in from the other side, her hand gets caught in industrial strength glue. She then goes over the gate and falls into wet mud; losing her balance, she lands on her knees and triggers a cord which causes a plant pot to fall from the roof and knock her on the head, causing her to faint in the mud. After getting up, she tries to walk through the mud, but falls backwards, tripping another cord and causing another pot to fall on her face. Stupid, poorly acted, and poorly written, Home Alone 3 has got to be the worst installment in the series.

Alice gets her gang a house in the neighborhood after fooling a realtro with a disguise. For the next couple of days, the four search for the toy car. She mainly patrols the neighborhood along with Earl and Burton. Four internationally wanted criminals, named Peter Beaupre , Alice Ribbons , Burton Jernigan and Earl Unger have stolen a valuable missile cloaking computer chip for a North Korean terrorist group. They put it inside a toy remote control car to sneak it past security.

At San Francisco International Airport, however, Mrs. Hess accidentally takes the bag with the remote control car in it. The thieves then come to Chicago and systematically search every house in Mrs. Hess's suburb to find the chip. Meanwhile, four terrorists working for a North Korean terrorist group are sent by their boss to obtain a top-secret microchip that can act as a cloaking device for a missile. They succeed in retrieving the chip and hide it in a remote-control car, but a luggage mixup at the airport leads to the car falling into Alex's hands when his neighbor gives it to him for shoveling her driveway. Alex finds out about the chip and the baddies who are looking for it, so he sets up traps in his home.
In the furnace, Alice and Beaupre finds Jernigan in the bathroom. All the while, Alex goes to opposite sides of the house and blows the dog whistle which wraps the collar around Alice's legs. When Alex blows the whistle one last time, Rollie runs to the back of the house, dragging Alice on her back through the bushes which knocks off her hat and glasses until she breaks free of the leash and Rollie runs off. She then asks for assistance from being, 'exposed', and Jernigan tells not to draw attention to herself. She puts her hat and glasses back on and walks away, after which the other crooks pick her up and prepare to come back after the snowstorm hits. Alex blows a dog whistle which Rollie hears and causes him to go over to the house.
In spite of the critical failure of Home Alone 3, Linz’s career wasn’t hurt. In fact, a few years later, he’d play the lead in Max Keeble’s Big Move, although that movie, too, underperformed at the box office. Nevertheless, Linz continued to act for a few more years until eventually he quit the business, finished high school and attended college at the University of California, Berkeley, where he graduated in 2011. Home Alone 3 began filming in 1996, with a script by John Hughes, who also produced. But Hughes was the only big name to return for the third go-round. Culkin, obviously, was out, but so were director Chris Columbus, stars Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern, and composer John Williams, who had gotten an Oscar nomination for his score for the first movie.

Wondering what the quartet wants with a remote control car, Alex opens it and discovers the stolen chip. He immediately calls Chicago's Air Force Recruitment Center and informs them about the chip, leaving his number and address and instructing them to forward it to the proper authorities. Later that night, the quartet pose as the Clovis family and ask the Pruitts about the toy car, to which Karen replies that Alex has a similar toy car, which was given to him by Mrs. Hess.
The plan to get the chip back was an over-complicated, risky and time-consuming one. The four criminals knew the description of Mrs. Hess and the neighborhood she lives in. She would then not have any reason not to tell them that she gave the toy car to Alex as payment . Then Petr and Alice could have posed as a couple (just like they did with Mrs. Hess in the movie) and claim the toy was meant for their child, and offer the family a sum of money . They would have gotten the chip the very same night and be on their way.
