We opted to walk up later than usual as a treat and enjoy a casual day. It was interesting to learn that Halifax was the closest seaport and most well-equipped area in proximity to where the ship sank. This was important for the recovery of Titanic victims because the city's railway allowed the bodies of the deceased to be shipped to their families for a final return home.
